Aircon Steam Cleaning and Antibacterial Steam Wash

Steam cleaning uses hot, high-pressure steam to reach deep into the coil fins and blower, where a brush cannot go. The heat loosens grime and kills the bacteria and mould that cause musty smells. It is a good choice when your aircon smells, someone at home has allergies, or the unit has not been cleaned properly in a long time.

When you need it

Signs it is time for steam cleaning

Musty or sour smell

That smell comes from mould and bacteria growing on the wet coil and blower. Steam kills them at the source.

Allergies or a baby at home

An antibacterial steam wash cleans the air path without leaving strong chemical residue behind.

Black spots on the louvers

Spots on the outlet usually mean mould on the blower wheel too. Steam reaches it without dismantling the unit.

General servicing is no longer enough

If the unit still feels weak after a normal service, a steam clean removes the deeper build-up.

Our process

How we do it, step by step

  1. Cover and protect

We wrap the unit in a protective cover that channels dirty water into a bucket.

  2. Steam the coil

Hot high-pressure steam goes through the coil fins to lift dust, grease and mould.

  3. Steam the blower

We steam the blower wheel and outlet, where most of the smell comes from.

  4. Dry and test

We wipe everything dry, flush the drain and test the aircon with you.

FAQ

Steam Cleaning questions

Is steam cleaning better than chemical wash?

They solve different problems. Steam cleaning is best for smells, bacteria and moderate dirt, and uses no harsh chemicals. A chemical wash is stronger for heavy build-up and poor cooling. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the unit on WhatsApp and we will suggest the right one.

Will steam damage my aircon?

No. We cover the electrical parts and control board before steaming, and the steam is aimed at the coil and blower only.

How long does an aircon steam wash take?

Most wall-mounted units take about 45 minutes to an hour each, including setting up the cover and testing at the end.

What is the difference between your two steam services?

The High Pressure Antibacterial Steam Wash focuses on killing bacteria and mould in the coil and blower. High Pressure Steam Cleaning is a longer, deeper steam clean for dustier units. Both are priced per unit on this page.
