Aircon Chemical Overhaul for Wall-Mounted Units

A chemical overhaul is the deepest clean an aircon fan coil can get. We take the unit off the wall, strip it down to the coil, blower wheel and drain tray, then soak and scrub each part. It is the right fix for aircon that leaks, smells badly or barely cools, and it can add years to a unit you would otherwise replace.

When you need it

Signs it is time for chemical overhaul

Water keeps dripping

Slime in the drain tray is a common cause of leaks that servicing cannot fix. An overhaul removes it completely.

Bad smell that will not go away

Mould in the drain tray and blower wheel keeps coming back until those parts are dismantled and scrubbed.

Very weak cooling

When the coil is heavily blocked, only a full soak and rinse brings the airflow back.

No deep clean for a few years

An overhaul every one to two years keeps an older unit running well.

Our process

How we do it, step by step

  1. Take down the fan coil

We remove the indoor unit from the wall with care for the piping and wiring.

  2. Dismantle

The casing, blower wheel, drain tray and coil are separated so nothing is hidden.

  3. Soak, scrub and rinse

Each part is soaked in chemical, scrubbed and rinsed until clean.

  4. Reinstall and test

We reassemble, remount and test the cooling and drainage with you.

FAQ

Chemical Overhaul questions

How long does a chemical overhaul take?

Usually about one and a half to two hours per wall-mounted unit, depending on how dirty it is and how easy it is to reach.

When should I choose a chemical overhaul instead of a chemical wash?

Choose an overhaul if the unit leaks, smells strongly, or is still weak after a chemical wash. Those problems usually come from the drain tray and blower wheel, which are only fully cleaned when the unit is dismantled.

Can you overhaul any brand?

We overhaul wall-mounted fan coils from the common brands used in Singapore homes. Send us the brand and model on WhatsApp if you would like to check first.

Where is the overhaul done?

We normally dismantle and clean the parts at your home, in a bathroom or service yard, and clean up before we leave.
